April 11th 2005 the first morel was spotted on a low south facing slope.  In around 12 days we will begin picking morels on south hillsides.  We are estimating the season to peak here in soth west Wisconsin on the 4th of May.  The morels in the picture are the size of the tip of a  pen.  The morels are peaking out of the dirt clump.  In 12 days they will be large enough to pick!  (That is if no one finds them.....)

All of our pictures would not fit on our main site so we have dedicated another site for our breath taking pictures! The site may take several minutes to load due to quality pictures.
