| Midwest season now over. Currently shipping fresh Western morels. Please use the link on the top left to place your fresh morel order. |
Please Note:
Fresh morels are highly perishable. If you have placed an order please keep an eye out for your package. Packages should not be left outside when temperatures exceed 70 degrees. If no one is home your package will be left. Ice will be used when temperatures are high.
Fed-Ex cannot deliver to a P.O. Box. They need a physical street address. Your work place is a great place to have your order shipped to if you only have a P.O. Box or feel your package will be unsafe dropped at home.
We have little control over the amount of morels that are picked and shipped in a days time. Mother Nature is in control and can be unpredictable. It would be nearly impossible for us to keep in touch with everyone on shipment date. If a certain delivery day works better for you, or if a certain dayd won’t work for you, just leave a note in the "Instruction To Seller Area" when checking out. Expect your order to be delivered on Tuesday -Friday. Saturday delivery is available with an additional shipping fee. Please advise for Saturday delivery. An email will be sent a minimum of 12 hours prior to shipment. One out of a hundred emails we receive are incorrect so please double check when submitting. It is important to leave a phone number for Fed Ex or Morelmasters to get a hold of you. Your phone number is entered into Fed-Ex's system. They sometimes cannot find addresses and need to call customers. If a phone number is not left and your package spoils due to Fed-Ex or Morelmasters not being able to get a hold of you a refund or re-ship will not be issued. Since we are dealing with a highly perishable product a phone/cell number is important.
Orders ship in the order they have been received. If you pay early in the year, expect to be one of the first shipments and so on. If you have pre-payed and there is some kind of disaster on our end your payment will be returned in full.
In rare cases of severe weather, Fed Ex planes run behind schedule. Fed-Ex nor Morelmasters stand behind perishables which spoil due to inclement weather. Please advise if your order is not acceptable and we will look into the matter.
Morels may lose up to a tenth of a pound per pound due to shrinkage during shipment. This weight will be regained when cleaned with water. Your morels may be slightly dry to touch which is normal.
Morchella Esculanta’s range from one to seven inches tall and can be gray, white, yellow, or brown in color. Some of the morels may have black stems which is normal. Some people actually think it is dirt and try to scrape it off.
Morels do come from the woods so don’t be alarmed if you find some ants or larvae munching on the inside of a morel. These guys also know what’s good! Clean, cook, and enjoy.
